The Full Story
I did not set out to be a life coach.
I set out to save my marriage.
Everything you see here grew from that one decision and from a God who refused to let the breakthrough stay mine alone.

THE ORIGIN STORY
In the late 1990s, my husband and I were $36,000 in debt and running out of road. The financial pressure had put a strain on everything — the marriage, the home, the sense of purpose, the faith. But I did not see it that way yet. I thought the problem was manageable. I thought it was just money.
Then my husband came home and said four words that stopped me cold:
"You scare me. I never know what you're going to do next."
I got mad. I could not believe he thought I was the problem.
But God had a different perspective.
At the end of 2001, a friend and I made a decision: we were going to get our finances in order. We started following the Dave Ramsey method — and within 18 months, I had paid off the entire $36,000. Not just the debt. The behavior behind the debt. The fear, the avoidance, the financial identity that had been quietly destroying my marriage from the inside out.
That changed our entire financial future.
THE TURNING POINT
The deeper work began in the summer of 2006.

I was the capable Christian woman. Homeschooling my boys. Supporting my husband. Serving my church. Doing all the right things.

And I was angry, bitter, and spiritually bone dry. I could not tell you why.

So I did something radical. I sat on my back porch every single day for three months — Bible open, journal out, no agenda, no performance. Just me and God and my raw, unfiltered prayers. I cried. I wrote. I dug into Scripture. And then I cried more.

God started showing me something I had not been willing to see: I had not put Him first. Not really. I had a full life — a marriage, children, a ministry, a home — but God was not sitting at the head of my table. Every seat had been filled with something else. My husband. My kids. My mom. My church. Even myself.

I had called it faithfulness. God called it idolatry.

The first week of August, He showed me the truth I had been too busy to see: That throne was never meant for them. It belongs to God alone.
I was so shocked by the simplicity of it.

This is why I am angry? Yes. This is why I am spiritually empty? Yes.

When I placed God back on the throne — when I finally gave Him His seat — everything shifted.
-
The finances that were already in order now had Kingdom purpose behind them.
-
The marriage strengthened because I stopped competing and started partnering.
-
The home became a haven because I stopped performing and started building with intention.
-
The children were discipled rather than just managed.
-
The calling became clearer than it had ever been.

Transformation did not happen because I got my act together. It happened because I finally let God have His seat.

FROM DEBT FREEDOM TO MINISTRY
In December 2004, my husband and I moved to Cornelius, North Carolina. For the next few years, my world was full — homeschooling my boys, serving at our church, and running a homeschool program for our community. It was good, purposeful work.

And then in 2008, God made something clear: the breakthrough I had experienced was not just for me. He wanted me to go help other people.

I trained under Dave Ramsey's organization and became a master financial coach. Then I started a financial coaching ministry at our church. I began working with hundreds of people — helping them do what I had done. Break the behavior. Pay off the debt. Change the financial future.
But I kept finding the same thing underneath every financial problem.

It was never really about money.

It was about identity. It was about a woman — or a couple — who had built a life around the wrong things. Fear. The opinions of others. The need to perform, to keep up, to avoid the hard conversation. The debt was a symptom. The heart was the problem.
FROM FINANCIAL COACHING TO LIFE COACHING
What started as financial coaching kept expanding. Because behind every financial mess was a behavior problem. Behind every behavior problem was an identity problem. Behind every identity problem was a woman standing at a crossroads — choosing between staying stuck and breaking through.

That discovery moved me from financial coaching into life coaching — where I got certified — and then into marriage coaching, and eventually into certified leadership and executive coaching.
Along the way I added training in How to Fascinate®, a communication styles framework that helped my clients understand not just what they were doing, but how the world experienced them — and how to use that as a strength.
Because at every level — the budget, the marriage, the parenting, the business — the core issue was always the same.

Who is on the throne of your life?

My coaching philosophy crystallized into one conviction: there are no dead ends. There are only obstacles. And most of our obstacles are things we have placed in our own way.

HOW I COACH
Every coaching conversation — and every piece of content I create — follows the same arc.
I find your currency. Every woman has a currency — the one thing that, when it moves, moves everything else. It is not always what she says it is when she first reaches out. I listen beneath the surface problem to the core issue driving it. A financial mess is rarely about math. A chaotic home is rarely about systems. A struggling marriage is more than about communication techniques. Find the currency. Pull that lever. Show her what becomes possible when that one thing shifts.
I hold up two pictures. Every woman in a coaching conversation is standing at a crossroads. My job is not to push you in either direction — it is to hold both pictures clearly so you can see what each path actually produces. What does it look like if nothing changes — not just next week, but in five years? In ten? And what becomes possible if you make the hard changes today? You get to choose your hard. Staying the same is hard. Changing is hard. But only one of those hards produces a legacy.
I never leave you without a next step. We bring it before God. We do not end a session without placing it in His hands and walking out with a clear, obedient, actionable next step — even before you fully understand where it leads. Obedience before understanding. Always.
